Universal Has 7 Principles, and of them is Size and space for approach and use!
The definition is “Appropriate size and space is provided for approach, reach, manipulation, and use regardless of the user’s body size, posture, or mobility.”
Size and space for approach and use provide accessibility for people to access certain places, items, and areas no matter how they look whether it be body size, posture, or mobility.
Our campus on peninsula college is a great example! we have ramps everywhere, and we have doors that have disability buttons that automatically open for students who may have mobility issues. we also have an excellent resource center that has staff that is very helpful with showing people where to find a directory of where to find resources or areas that accommodate everyone!
